Specific Locations we are looking for

Location Needed – Blackwater Headquarters Command Room

We’re scouting a location to serve as the command room for a covert government agency. We’re looking for a space that has a dark, tactical, and stealthy vibe — ideal would be an industrial-style basement, bunker, or utility-level room with cement floors, minimal light, and a raw, underground atmosphere.

Location Requirements:

  • Type: Industrial basement, old server room, secure-looking utility space, or unused control room
  • Look: Exposed concrete, moody lighting, no windows or few windows preferred
  • Size: Enough for desks, wall monitors, and actors/staging (approx. 300–800 sq ft)
  • Power Access: Electrical outlets required to power computer monitors and lights.
  • Vibe: Tactical. Stealthy. Underground intelligence hub.
  • Preferred Areas: Maryland and Southern PA
  • Dates Needed: Summer 2025

Contact: If you know of a space or own a property that fits, please send photos, location address (or general area), and any access details to: Tammy@ThompsonProductions.film

Location Needed: Storefront with Charm for “Word and Deed” Pilot

Type: Storefront façade only (no interior filming)
Style: Old Town charm – historic, warm, inviting, slightly weathered but active
Scene Use: Actors will enter and exit the building; all filming takes place from exterior
Filming Dates: One day between late June and early July 2025

Key Requirements

  1. Charming Old Town Atmosphere
    • Historic or vintage architectural style (brick, wood, colonial, craftsman, or art deco façade)
    • Subtle signage or a versatile blank awning preferred (or ability to cover signage temporarily) unless shop owner wants their store to be in the film with credits as a marketing bonus.
    • Ideally evokes the feel of a community staple – bookstore, bakery, legal office, clothing shop, etc.
  2. Street Visibility & Framing
    • Clean view of the building from across the street (camera will be positioned there) and vise versa, needing to film the parked car across the street from the front of the building.
    • No obstructions like tall hedges, construction, or utility boxes blocking the storefront
  3. Parking Across the Street (Crucial)
    • Street parking directly opposite the storefront that can be used for production vehicles and/or visible in frame
    • Alternatively, a visible surface parking lot across from the storefront is acceptable
  4. Low-to-Medium Foot Traffic
    • Ideally located on a quieter street to minimize disruptions during the shoot
    • Should still feel “alive” with a few passersby or nearby businesses to sell the town vibe
  5. One-Day Accessibility in Late June or Early July
    • Must be available for at least a 4-hour window (including setup and breakdown)
    • Filming will take place in late afternoon.

    • Tidy men’s clothing in view
    • Doesn’t need to be large but must be authentic and filmable from doorway

Bonus (Helpful But Not Required)

  • Ensuite bathroom visible or nearby (for realism, not used in scene)
  • Modern ceiling fan or light fixture (adds character)
  • Room in a home where other spaces (like living room or kitchen) could also serve as backups for future shoots

Why Sharing Your Location Helps Elevate the Word and Deed Film Series

When you share your location, you’re not just offering a space, you’re expanding the creative palette we can work with. Here’s how your generosity contributes to the excellence of the show:

  1. More Authentic Settings
Real-world locations bring depth, texture, and realism that studio sets often can’t match. Your space helps ground the story in a tangible, relatable world.
  2. Greater Visual Variety
Offering more options gives our cinematographers and directors the freedom to find the perfect backdrop. Whether that’s a dramatic sanctuary, a sunlit field, or a gritty alleyway.
  3. Cinematic Inspiration
Unique architecture, natural light, and distinctive features can inspire scenes to be shot in ways that are more visually powerful and emotionally moving.
  4. Higher Production Quality
The more diverse and dynamic our locations, the more polished and professional the final product becomes, without needing costly set builds or digital effects.
  5. Storytelling that Shines
The right environment elevates the message of each scene. A humble home, a glowing chapel, or a quiet forest can carry deep spiritual symbolism and emotional weight.
  6. Creative Problem-Solving
Access to a variety of real locations gives us the flexibility to adapt quickly and artistically, ensuring scenes stay powerful even if plans need to change.
  7. Commitment to Excellence
By opening your doors, you’re helping us reflect God’s beauty and excellence in every frame and raising the bar for faith-based storytelling.
