Location Needed: Back Parking Lot of Bar or Restaurant (Exterior Only – Night Shoot) Episode 2 Word and Deed

AI image of parking lot needed

Type: Exterior – Back of Building
Scene Purpose: Character exits the bar and stumbles to his car in a secluded area of the lot
Filming Date: One night between Late April – Late May 2026

Key Requirements

  1. Back of Bar or Restaurant – Neighborhood Feel
    • Gritty, realistic setting (neighborhood bar or no-name restaurant with a “working class” vibe)
    • Visible back door with some ambient or mounted lighting above or near it
    • Building should be unbranded if possible or can be edited out in post. Unless building owner wants business name in show as marking.
  2. Parking Lot Characteristics
    • Back lot area with partial enclosure or borders (fences, hedges, dumpsters, walls)
    • One section of the lot (edge or corner) must be empty of cars – space for the actor’s vehicle and clear shooting area
    • The camera needs a wide, uninterrupted view from across the lot or slightly angled to show:
      • Actor coming out of back door
      • Walking across the lot
      • Reaching his parked car
  3. Lighting & Atmosphere
    • Standard parking lot lights (preferably with a slightly yellow or industrial tone)
    • Building lighting near door is a plus
    • Shadows and darkness around the edges are okay – adds to realism and mood
    • No overly bright floodlights that would kill dramatic contrast
  4. Filming Practicalities
    • Area must be available for a controlled night shoot (5–6 hours)
    • Access to power (nearby outlet or permission to use a generator)
    • Minimal noise or pedestrian activity during late evening
    • Parking available for crew and gear, separate from actor’s isolated car space

Bonus (Helpful but Not Required)

  • Slight slope or uneven pavement adds to realism
  • Partial background of fence, bushes, or alley for visual depth
  • No neighboring buildings directly overlooking the lot
  • Access to lot without needing to disrupt business operations

AI image of a bar location needed

Type: Interior – Dive Bar or Old Neighborhood Pub
Scene Purpose: Dialogue between two men seated at the bar, with coverage from both angles
Filming Date: One day shoot, late March to early June 2026
Filming Time: Daytime, but interior should remain dark and moody

Key Requirements

    • Shabby or aged decor – older wooden bar, scratched surfaces, aging barstools, dim lighting
    • Must feel authentic and lived-in, not trendy or upscale
    • Some street-facing windows are preferred – blinds or curtains acceptable to control light spill
  2. Bar Setup & Blocking Needs
    • Bar must have room behind it to place camera for over-the-shoulder shots of the bartender
    • Counter space with at least 2–3 bar stools comfortably spaced
    • Ability to film:
      • Behind the bar, facing the two men sitting at the counter
      • Behind the men, facing bartender across the bar
  3. Lighting & Mood
    • Naturally dim, but must have enough practical lighting (neon, sconces, beer signs, or light from windows) to set the mood
    • Daytime shoot, but bar should feel “always dark”
  4. Filming Practicalities
    • Must allow filming while the bar is closed or during off-hours
    • Enough space behind and around the bar for camera movement and lighting
    • Power outlets for lighting and camera gear
    • Quiet interior — minimal outside noise and controllable interior sounds
  5. Occupancy
    • Bar should be mostly empty during filming (extras may be added later if needed)

Why Sharing Your Location Helps Elevate the Word and Deed Film Series

When you share your location, you’re not just offering a space, you’re expanding the creative palette we can work with. Here’s how your generosity contributes to the excellence of the show:

  1. More Authentic Settings
Real-world locations bring depth, texture, and realism that studio sets often can’t match. Your space helps ground the story in a tangible, relatable world.
  2. Greater Visual Variety
Offering more options gives our cinematographers and directors the freedom to find the perfect backdrop. Whether that’s a dramatic sanctuary, a sunlit field, or a gritty alleyway.
  3. Cinematic Inspiration
Unique architecture, natural light, and distinctive features can inspire scenes to be shot in ways that are more visually powerful and emotionally moving.
  4. Higher Production Quality
The more diverse and dynamic our locations, the more polished and professional the final product becomes, without needing costly set builds or digital effects.
  5. Storytelling that Shines
The right environment elevates the message of each scene. A humble home, a glowing chapel, or a quiet forest can carry deep spiritual symbolism and emotional weight.
  6. Creative Problem-Solving
Access to a variety of real locations gives us the flexibility to adapt quickly and artistically, ensuring scenes stay powerful even if plans need to change.
  7. Commitment to Excellence
By opening your doors, you’re helping us reflect God’s beauty and excellence in every frame and raising the bar for faith-based storytelling.

Let your space be part of something meaningful.
